A biology degree can be good for pursuing graduate studies but most people don’t give a shit that you can name the parts of a bug. I thought i wanted to go into the medical field but the realities. You might be able to enter a field with just a bio degree like i did. Weba bio degree can be the basis for a lot of career choices. I can choose either fun, mostly useless classes or more rigorous slightly less fun but probably beneficial classes.
Or if you’re having trouble starting a career, you can get a masters degree in a more specific area. I got a bs in biology and an almost perfect gpa. Weba basic science bs (which is typically the study of nature and animals, insects and such) does not give enough education on things that are important to other sciences. I thought i was doing everything right. Webredditors who have a degree in biology, what is your career now? For example, i could take molecular evolution (fun) or general microbiology (difficult). I know mds, dvms, phds, mss, as well as leaders in biotech who all had biology undergrad degrees.
